Agnico Eagle provides $3,000 grant to SPAN to screen ‘Tough times from the Heart’

Anyone attending the Star Cinema in Eaglehawk between now and June 2027 will see one of our short ‘Tough Times from the Heart’ videos as part of the previews, to raise awareness of the impact of suicide and promote help-seeking. This most recent initiative has been made possible through a $3,000 Grant provided by Agnico Eagle as part of their annual Community Grants Program.

Moviegoers at the Star will see one of the four videos SPAN created in 2022. The videos feature SPAN CV founder Alannah McGregor, mental health advocate Jed Zimmer, Dr Skye Kinder and farmer Warren Davies, who each discuss their diverse perspectives on mental health, suicide prevention and how they’ve responded to tough times. The full 45 minute version of each video can be viewed on Youtube.
